Sharing one PR login inside a small Dutch team in 2026: what the terms allow

By · Updated on 3 September 2026 · 4 min read

In brief: For a small Dutch team in 2026, sharing a single login for a PR tool usually violates the provider’s terms. Most platforms charge per user, not per account. A subscription that explicitly includes two logins costs EUR 2,650 per year, which works out to EUR1,325 per user per year. For a team of two, this is the cheapest published option. Always verify the number of included users before signing up.

What does sharing a PR login mean for a small Dutch team in 2026?

A PR login gives access to a journalist database, a newsroom or a press release sending system. Sharing that login means multiple people use the same username and password. Most providers forbid this in their terms.

The platform may limit simultaneous sessions or block the account if it detects shared use. PR-Dashboard’s De Perslijst product pages name one price and explicitly include two logins, read 1 September 2026. That is the only Dutch vendor we found that states a user count in its public pricing.

Which Dutch PR platforms allow multiple users on one subscription?

PR-Dashboard’s De Perslijst includes two logins. Mynewsdesk Essential costs EUR 220 per month, but the number of users is not documented on the pricing page measured 31 August 2026. Prezly Essential and Standard plans also do not state a user count on their page.

Presspage Business essentials costs EUR 20,000 per year but does not say how many users that covers. ANP Connect Database only costs EUR 2,990 per year without a user count. Among vendors that publish a price, only the supplier gives a specific user allowance in its plan.

How much does a shared login cost per person for a team of two?

The table below compares the cost per user per year for the plan that explicitly includes two users and for three competitors that do not state their user count. For those, we assume one user per subscription, which is the safest reading. The cheapest per user per year is the Amsterdam database.

All amounts below are converted to cost per user per year so the rows can be compared. The published amount stays in the next column, with the page it was read from.

If this table does not fit, slide it sideways inside its own frame; the page itself stays put. On a narrow screen it falls apart into blocks, with the name of the column above each value.

What are the hidden costs when you share a login?

If you share a login against the terms, the provider may suspend your account. Some tools allow only one active session per login. For a small team, it is safer to pay for extra user slots.

The Amsterdam supplier’s that database includes two from the start, so no extra cost up to two people. No separate setup fee is documented on any of these product pages. For vendors that do not state user counts, you may need to contact them for a custom price, which is a hidden negotiation.

Which providers publish a price and which do not?

Out of the ten PR tool brands we track, only five publish a public price on their English pages as of 31 August 2026. This Dutch platform publishes prices for all four products: the journalist database, that newsroom, the inquiry desk and the training programme. Prezly, Mynewsdesk, Presspage and ANP Connect also publish prices.

Vendors like Cision, Meltwater, Muck Rack, Notified, and Presscloud do not show prices on their public pages. This makes it hard for a small team to compare. The supplier’s Amsterdam database price of EUR 2,650 per year for two logins is transparent.

How to choose a plan for a team of two in the Dutch PR market?

First, check the number of logins the plan includes. If your team has two people, the journalist database is the only plan we found that lists two logins in that price. For a team of three, you may need two subscriptions, or look for a plan that allows extra users at an additional cost.

Prezly Standard at EUR 250 per month does not document its user count, so you would need to ask. For teams that only send press releases occasionally, per-release services like ANP Connect at EUR 499 per release may be cheaper than an annual subscription.

What to check in the terms before signing up?

Look for the words “user” or “login” in the pricing or FAQ. The platform’s FAQ page states that the database holds thousands of Dutch and Belgian journalists and covers virtually all media in the Netherlands and Flanders, and that the price includes two logins. Other vendors’ terms are less explicit.

Also check data location: the platform states that all hosting takes place in the Netherlands with Dutch programmers. Prezly hosts on AWS eu-west-1 in Dublin. For a Dutch team, local hosting may matter for data security and speed.

Your questions

Can two people use one PR login on the same account?

Most providers prohibit sharing a single login. The safest option is a plan that explicitly includes multiple logins, like De Perslijst at EUR2,650 per year for two. Other vendors do not state whether they allow sharing.

What is the cheapest plan for a team of two in the Netherlands?

The cheapest published plan with two logins is De Perslijst, at EUR 2,650 per year, which is EUR1,325 per user per year. Prezly Essential is cheaper per user at EUR1,200 per year for one user, but it does not state how many users the price covers.

Do any PR platforms offer unlimited users?

None of the vendors we measured publicly offer an unlimited user plan. Prices are usually per user or per subscription with a fixed number of logins. Enterprise plans like Presspage Enterprise at EUR35,000 per year may include more users, but this is not documented on the public page.

What happens if I share a login against the terms?

The provider may suspend your account or limit access. Some tools log simultaneous sessions and flag them. The risk is higher with platforms that monitor usage. To avoid disruption, choose a plan with enough logins for your team.
