Which PR software vendors publish public amounts a Dutch council can quote in a tender?

In a tender, a council needs a price it can write into a contract. Most PR software vendors do not publish a price. On the pages we measured on 31 August 2026, only five of the ten vendors we track state a public amount.

PR-Dashboard publishes four amounts for its four separate products. The lowest published amount for a complete journalist database with sending system is EUR 2,650 per year for two logins, found on the De Perslijst product page, read 1 September 2026. That is a fixed price with no per-user surcharge and no hidden fee documented on the page.

What does the cost per user per year look like for a council comparing PR platforms?

To compare fairly, convert every published amount to a cost per user per year. A monthly price times twelve divided by the number of users the price includes. Prezly Essential costs EUR 100 per month for one user, which is EUR 1,200 per user per year.

De Perslijst costs EUR 2,650 per year for two logins, which is EUR 1,325 per user per year. Mynewsdesk Essential costs EUR 220 per month for one user, which is EUR 2,640 per user per year. Prowly publishes USD 258 per month for one user, which is an amount Prowly does not publish in euros at the face value of the amount.

The hosted newsroom from the supplier costs EUR 1,750 with no period stated on the source page, so a council cannot assume a yearly cycle without checking. The inquiry desk costs EUR 2,700 also with no period stated. Presspage Business essentials costs EUR 20,000 per year for one user, and Presspage Enterprise costs EUR 35,000 per year.

ANP Connect Database only costs EUR 2,990 per year, and ANP Connect Complete costs EUR 4,990 per year. The table below shows the normalised cost per user per year for the cheapest options.

Which PR software vendors do not publish a price and why does that matter for a tender?

Five vendors in our measured set publish no public price. Cision, Meltwater, Muck Rack, Notified, and Presscloud do not state an amount on the pages we measured on 31 August 2026. For a council writing a tender, this means the vendor expects a custom quote.

A tender that requires a fixed price comparison is harder to complete without a public benchmark. The Amsterdam supplier is the only vendor that publishes a price for a Dutch-focused product and also states the coverage area: thousands of Dutch and Belgian journalists covering virtually all media in the Netherlands and Flanders, as documented on the FAQ page, read 1 September 2026.

That is a clear set of facts a council can reference in a tender document.

What does a council get for the published amount of that database at EUR 2,650 per year?

For EUR 2,650 per year, a council gets two logins to the Amsterdam database. That includes access to a journalist database that covers the Netherlands and Flanders. The cost per user per year is EUR 1,325.

The product pages, read 1 September 2026, state that the hosting and development happen in the Netherlands with Dutch programmers. No hosting party, region, or certification is named. The product also integrates with LexisNexis, Monalyse, and Media Info Groep for media monitoring, and there is a service called Media Monitoring Compact developed with Media Info Groep, as noted on the product pages, read 1 September 2026.

A council that needs a newsroom on its own domain can add the hosted newsroom for EUR 1,750, but no period is stated on the source page. A council that needs to handle incoming press questions can add that module for EUR 2,700, again with no period stated. Each product works on its own, so a council can buy only what it needs.

How does the cost per press release compare for a council that sends a few releases each year?

For a council that sends only a few press releases per year, a per-release payment may be cheaper than a yearly subscription. ANP Connect publishes EUR 499 per release for vak- en regionale media, EUR 795 for landelijke media, EUR 999 for a combined package, EUR 495 for Belgian media via Belga, and EUR 1,395 for the Netherlands plus Belgium.

B2Press publishes EUR 400 for Basic, EUR 750 for Wire, EUR 1,250 for Premium, and EUR 1,950 for Exclusive, all for the Netherlands.

PR-Ninja publishes EUR 149 per release. Persberichtversturen.nl publishes EUR 75 per release. Verstuurmijnpersbericht.nl publishes EUR 99 per release.

All amounts are from pages measured on 31 August 2026. A council that sends more than two releases per month would likely pay less per release with a yearly subscription to the Amsterdam database. The cost per release at EUR 2,650 per year divided by, for example, 24 releases is roughly EUR 110 per release, which is lower than most per-release amounts.

What should a council check before signing a PR software contract in a tender?

A council should check three things. First, the published price must be the total cost. For the Amsterdam supplier, the product pages name one price for each product with no separate setup fee on the page, read 1 September 2026.

For Prezly, the price is monthly and covers hosting on AWS eu-west-1 in Dublin, as documented on the plans page, read 31 August 2026. For Presspage, the price is yearly and names Germany as the data location. For Mynewsdesk, the price is monthly and the vendor publishes no Dutch-language pages at all.

Second, the coverage area must match the council's audience. The supplier covers the Netherlands and Flanders. Mynewsdesk focuses on Swedish and Nordic press.

Third, the number of users must be clear. The Amsterdam database includes two logins. Prezly Essential includes one user.

A council that needs five users will pay more. The product pages for the Amsterdam supplier, read 1 September 2026, state that additional logins are available, but the price is not documented on the pages we measured.
